Sensible Innovations CEO joins Compass for Kids board

Sensible Innovations founder and CEO, Rasha Said, has joined the Compass for Kids board as of January 2019.!


Compass for Kids aims to provide academic and social-emotional support to empower at-risk children and families and is based in Springfield, Illinois. “I have seen the work that Compass for Kids founder and Executive Director Molly Berendt and her team have been doing in our community and the positive impact that is making on children from low-income families. I too want to be a part of this effort and to give back to those in Springfield that need it most. I am extremely excited to begin my tenure as a Compass for Kids board member.” .


Compass for Kids provides students from Springfield School District 186 a school year club, know as Cub Compass. The nonprofit also runs Camp Compass, which is designed to prevent summer learning loss and improve math and reading skills, Camp Care-A-Lot a free overnight residential camp for low-income students, and a backpack feeding program in partnership with HSHS St John’s.
