Sensible Innovations had another great year in 2018
It’s been another fantastic year for Sensible Innovations! We attended CES in Las Vegas as a Consumer Electronics Show 2018 Innovation Awards Honoree in the Smart Cities product category. We’ll be back there next month for CES 2019!
We launched Aware at Maldaner’s Restaurant in downtown Springfield. It was a great opportunity to showcase the app at the popular eatery in the heart of the city frequented by locals and visitors alike.
We attended CES on the Hill organized by the Consumer Technology Association. Here we had the chance to meet with Members of Congress, Hill staff, media, and invited guests. The event highlighted how the tech industry supports job growth and creates products that improve people’s lives, such as our wayfinding app, Aware.
We were proud to provide turn-by-turn navigation for visually impaired visitors to The Chicago Lighthouse Lighthouses on The Mag Mile public art display. More than 50 decorated sculptures went on display for a month to promote awareness about the importance of access and inclusion has for people with disabilities, which is something we are extremely passionate about at Sensible Innovations.
We were the official audio guide for the third year at the 2018 Americans with Disabilities Act Symposium and our CEO also spoke at the conference about technologies to enhance wayfinding.
We announced that the City of Springfield would be bringing Aware to downtown and is now being used by visitors and residents. We were honored to receive Local First Springfield Innovators Award at a ceremony hosted by Isringhausen Imports, one of nine recipients of the inaugural awards.
So, it’s been another busy year with projects not just here, in Springfield, Illinois but also in Ohio and Oregon.
Thank you for your continued support and interest. We look forward to next year and everything 2019 has to bring.
