Sensible Innovations wins Local First Springfield Innovators Award

Sensible Innovations was last night named winner of the Inaugural Local First Springfield Free Press Coffee House Innovators Award at an event hosted by Isringhausen Imports in downtown Springfield, IL. The award was presented to Sensible Innovations founder and CEO, Rasha Said, for applying innovative solutions to overcome obstacles that have resulted in positive change.


“We are so excited to be recognized by Local First Springfield for bringing our Aware app to the city and for placing iBeacons in businesses and organizations which support our mission; to create a world without limits for the 21 million Americans that are visually impaired,” said Rasha.


Local First Springfield is a nonprofit made up of local independent businesses and organizations in the greater Springfield, Illinois area. Its purpose is to educate, advocate, and create awareness of the value of buying local. “Both being and working with local independent businesses in Springfield is extremely important to us and so it is wonderful to be recognized by an organization that’s sole purpose is to support these entities.
