Bringing Aware to CSUN

In March, I was so pleased to be able to take part in the 31st Annual International Technology and Persons with Disabilities Conference at California State University Northridge (CSUN). The feedback we received from people who visited our booth was just incredible.

The team from was there and was able to capture one of our demonstrations, this one featuring activist Albert Rizzi, who is blind.

“This is a fantastic tool. This is gonna open so many doors. The applications that I see for this are so far reaching,” Albert said. “Having come [to this conference] for years, I have never been able to walk the floor confidently enough to wanna be by myself. I think I would totally do it with this tool.”

Albert has been a vocal champion of the rights of people with visual impairments, and it was a truly wonderful experience to meet him and for him to have such positive feedback on Aware! Next up, in June, we’re taking Aware to the ADA Symposium in Denver. Attendees will be able to use Aware to navigate the entire exhibit area as well as to sessions.
