WILL MY PHONE SUPPORT THE AWARE APP?
The AWARE app is supported on the following platforms:

WHAT ARE COMPATIBLE SMARTPHONES?
The iBeacon compatible smartphones are those with Bluetooth 4 (BLE ) technology. This includes Android phones and tablets along with iPhones and iPads.
DO I NEED A WIFI SIGNAL FOR AWARE TO WORK?
No. WiFi is only necessary if a data update is needed when the app launches. AWARE communicates directly from the user’s smartphone with the AWARE-configured iBeacons.
WHAT IS THE RANGE OF AWARE iBEACON?
A smartphone can detect an iBeacon at a distance of 200 meters . AWARE SmartLandmarks ranges are configured depending on the layout of the site.
ARE THERE ANY CHALLENGES TO USING AN iBEACON?
Positioning accuracy is still evolving for Bluetooth 4 as well as striking the right balance for the volume of information provided along with the balance between hands-free and direction of movement. Occasional signal flickering or delay has been experienced, while venue layout and potential obstacles for signal reception are factors.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY ORDER?
Once your order is completed and payment confirmed, your Aware iBeacons will be shipped immediately to the address indicated in the order with instructions for accessing the Admin Portal to customize your messages.
HOW DO I GET THE AWARE APP FOR MY PHONE?
Visit the Apple® App Store to download the AWARE Accessible Wayfinding App by Sensible Innovations for your smartphone. This "FREE" Mobile App only works with Sensible Innovations' iBeacon tags to provide indoor directions and descriptions designed specifically for the visually impaired.
To install this FREE App, go to the Apple App Store, and search for AWARE - Accesbile Wayfinding by Sensible Innovations.
Click on the FREE button, then click INSTALL.
Once installed, click on the AWARE App icon. When promted, make sure to accept the "End User License Agreement". A pop up message will appear: "AWARE would like to use your current location." Select Allow.
Now you can start using your iPhone version of the AWARE App.

DO I HAVE TO BUY THE AWARE APP?
No. Our Mobile App is completely free to download and install.
WHAT IS THE ADMIN PORTAL?
The Aware Admin Portal allows venue administrators to manage venue information such as directory content, iBeacons, navigation, announcements, or promotional messages. Access via the Portal is unlimited, so content may be updated or altered as frequently as the administrator prefers. All saved changes auto-sync to local user apps when the user opens the app.
I AM AN O&M SPECIALIST – WHERE DO I INSTALL THE IBEACONS IN THE VENUE OR SITE?
The iBeacons are small and have a stick-on backing for easy installation and discreet placement. The key, however, is to place them properly. The iBeacon signal can be easily absorbed by water and therefore by human bodies. It’s advisable to place them in higher positions to avoid blocking. Some iBeacon users have even installed them on ceilings and report placement there working very well for them. The iBeacon sticks to any flat surface.
